About Plum Creek Park
2020 Season: Open May – September
Plum Creek park is a 215 acre park located just minutes from historic Walnut Grove, MN. The same Plum Creek that Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote about in her books, runs right through the park. The park also features a large swimming lake, Lake Laura.
The park maintains 64 RV campsites, and 5 primitive campsites. There are 2 trails around the park that allow users to experience the diverse and serene landscape, one around Lake Laura, and another along the banks of Plum Creek.

Enjoy an afternoon on Lake Laura and relax the day away.
Non-motorized boats are welcome and a launch is available for you to access the lake.

Two trails are available that can accommodate all levels of users.
Enjoy a premier 9 hole disc golf course that was designed by none other than Chuck Kennedy as a Mach 5 course with a length of 2750 feet.
Step right up and bring the whole family for an afternoon of fun.
Great for family reunions or simply a bunch of friends on the weekend.

Site prices include up to 6 people per site and 2 licensed vehicles (including all trailer types). You may request a specific site, however site numbers are not guaranteed.
For guests who may arrive outside of our usual business hours, your reserved site information will be available via a posted envelope on the Registration Building window. The next morning, please stop by the Office again to complete the check-in process.
